Read below for candidates and ballot proposals endorsed by Aspire North REALTORS and Michigan REALTORS, chosen in the interest of protecting and promoting private property rights and the real estate industry. Next, if you are a Traverse City voter, learn about City Proposals 1 & 2 at community events on October 8th and 10th. And last, NAR partners with Politico at the Democratic National Convention to highlight industry issues.
1. Support Aspire North REALTORS and Michigan REALTORS Endorsed Candidates in November
The November 5th Election Day is rapidly approaching and in fact absentee ballots are now available at your local Clerk’s Office. If you requested an absentee ballot mailed to you, you should be receiving your ballot any day now. For Aspire North REALTORS members who requested an absentee ballot, when you vote we encourage you to support ballot issues and candidates endorsed by Aspire North REALTORS and Michigan REALTORS in this Nov. 5th election. By supporting ballot issues and candidates endorsed by Aspire North REALTORS and Michigan REALTORS you and ensuring that policy actions and REALTOR champions are elected to protect private property rights and the real estate industry. 2. Are You a Traverse City Registered Voter? Educate Yourself on Traverse City Proposals 1 & 2 at These Community Events
If you are a Traverse City registered voter you will have the opportunity to vote on Traverse City Proposals 1 & 2. To educate Traverse City voters on these two proposals the Grand Traverse Regional Community Foundation, Rotary Charities, and Traverse Connect are hosting Community Conversations on Tuesday, October 8th at West Shore Bank from 9 am to 10 am and Thursday, October 10th at Kirkbride Hall at the Grand Traverse Commons from 9 am to 10 am. 3. NAR Partners with Politico at Dem Convention to Highlight Industry Issues
NAR partnered with POLITICO to bring conversations on top housing issues to the Democratic National Convention in Chicago, as we did at last month’s Republican National Convention in Milwaukee. On August 21, elected officials from all levels of government joined NAR for panel discussions on making housing more accessible and affordable, including an executive discussion led by NAR CEO Nykia Wright.
