As the Chief Executive Officer for the Association and the regional MLS, my job is simple: keep the machinery running efficiently and effectively, make sure the staff have what they need to perform their duties responsibilities in a world-class organization, and synthesize the mass of information that our industry produces daily and try to make some sense of it. Then, I convert all of this into a great member experience. Simple!
As the Communications and Marketing Director, I oversee all the messaging and the manner in which it's delivered to our members. This includes managing our weekly newsletter, social media presence, the members-only Facebook group, and our MLS Talk listserv. With a background in visual arts, design, photography, and videography, I also help to develop original graphics, advertisements, and photo and video content. If you're at one of our many events and see someone walking around with a camera, that's me! As the unofficial tech guru of the office, I also work with staff to research and implement new technology and/or processes to better serve our members and reach them where they live, something that has become more important since the time of COVID.
Meghan McGuire recently relocated to the beautiful Traverse City area from Grand Rapids. She has worked in the hospitality industry for over 20 years and has worn many different hats. She graduated from Grand Valley State University with a B.S. in Hospitality and Tourism Management. In 2016, she decided to pursue a master of business degree from Cornerstone University. After completing her degree, she was inspired to try her hand at real estate. She discovered that the hospitality industry was better suited for her, so she returned her license back to the state. She is excited about her new role as Events & Meetings Coordinator for Aspire North REALTORS® because she gets to combine her years of experience with her passion for the real estate industry.
As the Government Affairs Director, I work to advocate for the real estate industry through programming that promotes the election of pro-REALTOR® candidates; engage, inform, and activate membership and local government officials on key local and state real estate policies; provide staff support to the REALTOR® Political Action Committee that invests members' voluntary contributions to protect and promote the real estate industry; and support the Aspire North memberships’ involvement in community projects to further grow and strengthen our region.
As the Financial Officer for Aspire North REALTORS®, I work directly with our members and staff on all of the financial aspects of the Association. If you have questions about your billing, don’t hesitate to reach out to me.
