Association Building Finds New Purpose

Members may wonder what is happening at their association building during the Covid Age. Besides the day-to-day work being done by staff much of the building has been sitting idle, that is until recently. Over the last few months staff has been working to use the spaces for building virtual communications platforms and capabilities that will play a significant role in our future.

In preparation for our first ever virtual General Membership Meeting we’ve set up flexible studio arrangements to rehearse and record some presentations in our Power Island Conference Center, Zoom Room, and Stony Point conference Room. This is a reflection of some level one communications efforts that we’re working on with our internal video guru Michael Kent, Communications and Marketing Director.

Are you interested in tech tools especially in the areas of video and audio production? We’re looking for a couple of volunteer members to assist staff on our Technology Working Group (TWIG). Contact Michael for more information.

All my best,
Kim

As the Chief Executive Officer for the Association and the regional MLS, my job is simple: keep the machinery running efficiently and effectively, make sure the staff have what they need to perform their duties responsibilities in a world-class organization, and synthesize the mass of information that our industry produces daily and try to make some sense of it. Then, I convert all of this into a great member experience. Simple!
