City

The City of Cadillac Code of Ordinances Chapter 8, Article 4 establishes the registration and inspection process for rentals that “include, but not be limited to, single-family dwellings, two-family dwellings, multiple-family dwellings, mobile homes (whether located within or outside of a mobile home park or a seasonal mobile home park) rooming houses and boardinghouses.”(i) Exceptions to this registration and inspection requirement includes “single-family dwellings, which are rented for less than three months of any calendar year” and “transient rental dwelling units such as hotels, motels, and bed and breakfast establishments.”(ii)

The City of Manton Ordinance No. 2019-01 Rental Inspection Program requires that all residential rental structures be registered. The properties not subject to the rental inspection program are “single-family dwellings, which are rented for less than three months of any calendar year.” and “Roominghouses or boarding-type houses that are rented to only persons of the operator's immediate family, or not more than two persons not so related.”(i) Additional details of the City of Manton Rental Inspection Program can be found in the City of Manton Ordinance No. 2019-01 Article 4.
