Every year, the outgoing board president has the honor of presenting the President's Award to a member who embodies the REALTOR® spirit. This year, that honor went to 2021 Board President, Dave Wilsey, who chose Mike Annelin as the recipient of this award! Dave spoke very highly of Mike at our Awards & Installation of Officers a couple of weeks ago. Here is what he had to say:
I’ve known Mike for a long time going way back to our middle school days and over the many years of playing sports together and working with Mike, it is clear to me why he deserves some recognition for his upbeat attitude, industry knowledge, and the integrity that it requires to be successful in our industry.
When I first got into real estate in 2014, Mike met with me to talk about the business and offered me support and insight on how I should get started. Over the years I’ve appreciated his mentorship as he has always had time to help me work through situations or just take time out of his busy schedule to listen.
Today, Mike is juggling a successful real estate career, spending as much free time with his wife and young children as he can, and somehow, he still finds time to volunteer in his community and is very involved in Big Brothers/Big Sisters of Northern Michigan. He has been a Big for over 6 years and also helps coordinate fundraising efforts for their organization.
