Aspire North Board Supports Petition to Repeal Prop 3

This past Friday, June 24th, the Aspire North Board of Directors passed a motion supporting a petition to place a repeal of Prop 3 on the November 8th ballot in Traverse City. For those of you unfamiliar with Prop 3, it’s a section of the Traverse City Charter that requires a city vote to approve the construction of any building taller than 60 feet. Any homestead resident that lives within the city limits is eligible to sign the Local Proposal Petition.

If you or someone you know would like to sign this petition, you can do so at the Aspire North Office from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm through Wednesday, June 29th. Alternatively, contact Aspire North REALTORS® Government Affairs Director, Connor Miller (cell: 231-944-8315, email: to schedule a time and location where he can meet you to sign the petition.

To be approved, this ballot initiative will require at least 700 signatures from Traverse City residents by Thursday, June 30th. If you would like to learn more about the petition, visit or contact Connor Miller for more information.
