Shannon Mars, Amerifirst Home Mortgage

My passion in life is to help people! I am fortunate to do that every day as a loan originator, I help buyers achieve homeownership, every client has a unique story and goal, and getting the best terms available for everyone is always a winning strategy.

I started my career in this business as a REALTOR® 18 years ago. I did it all; I sold, owned, built, and flipped homes. I can almost say that I have seen it all! As a REALTOR®, I experienced the pain of dealing with a lack of communication, knowledge, and missed deadlines from my lenders. So when I became a loan officer myself, I made it my mission to excel in those areas and ensure that my REALTOR® partners are always informed throughout all the loan milestones.

Fun Fact about me: at 21 I traveled across the country with 2 girlfriends and ended up visiting 19 states in 3 months! Now, I am a mom of 2, a boy and a girl; they are my true inspiration. I was born and raised in Michigan and I love everything about our state, but Florida has a special place in my heart.

It has been great being a member of Aspire North, I have loved meeting other like-minded professionals through this organization!

Communications & Marketing Director

As the Communications and Marketing Director, I oversee all the messaging and the manner in which it's delivered to our members.  This includes managing our weekly newsletter, social media presence, the members-only Facebook group, and our MLS Talk listserv.  With a background in visual arts, design, photography, and videography, I also help to develop original graphics, advertisements, and photo and video content.  If you're at one of our many events and see someone walking around with a camera, that's me!  As the unofficial tech guru of the office, I also work with staff to research and implement new technology and/or processes to better serve our members and reach them where they live, something that has become more important since the time of COVID.
